NORTH CANTON -- A freshman at North Canton's Hoover High School has been charged with disorderly conduct after police say she sent a text message threatening to kill other students at school.
According to police, the mother of another student found the threatening text messages on a family phone used by her daughter.
The school resource officer investigated, and the student was intercepted as she arrived at school.
The girl's parents responded to assist the school and police with the investigation.
Police said the girl did not have a list of names of who she wanted to harm. They say there was no disruption to school activities.
The girl was summoned to Stark County Family Court and released to a parent.
