Police have arrested John Richard Ceroni, 65, of Canton, on charges of promoting prostitution and procuring.
NORTH CANTON -- Police have arrested John Richard Ceroni, 65, of Canton, on charges of promoting prostitution and procuring.
Each charge carries a bond that is set at $50,000.00 cash or surety plus costs of $64, according to Judge Richard J. Kubilus.
The charges are a result of a joint investigation with the F. B. I., Portage County Sheriff's Office, Portage County Drug Task Force, Stark County Sheriff's Office Metro Narcotics Unit, and the Jackson Township Police Department.
Police say Ceroni is the owner of "The Massage Center" located at 1320 West Maple Street in North Canton.
As part of this investigation, a search warrant was served at "The Massage Center" on March 13. Three pick-up truck loads of evidence were seized at that time. The evidence collected included 14 massage tables, a computer, miscellaneous paperwork and records, some adult videos, and a loaded revolver.

Police say that, after analysis of the evidence and further investigation, North Canton Police detectives presented the information to the Canton Municipal Prosecutor's Office and Canton Municipal Court today.
The Court found that probable cause existed for the issuance of the warrant on the above charges.
He was booked into the Stark County Jail.
