A shoplifting complaint led to the discovery in a car in mall parking lot


JACKSON TOWNSHIP -- A shoplifting complaint led to the discovery of meth-making materials at a Stark County mall.

According to Jackson Township police, officers were called to Belden Village Mall Saturday.

During the shoplifting investigation, they were given consent to search the suspect's vehicle and found components used to manufacture methamphetamine in the trunk.

They arrested Stacy Jones, 28, of New Philadelphia, Jason Walker, 29, of Uhrichsville, Casey Myers, 33, of New Philadelphia and Carol Henry, 34, of Cleveland.

Each is charged with three felony counts of illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs.
