SPRINGFIELD TWP -- Officers were called to a residence on Lyndon Drive for a domestic disturbance Thursday night.

Upon arrival, police were informed by family members that 20-year-old Nicholas Gisentaner was inside the home and may have been armed with a handgun.

Police say Gisentaner refused to come out of the home and made threats to shoot police. Metro SWAT was immediately activated and responded to the scene.

After several hours, SWAT officers made entry inside the home. Giesentaner was found in the basement and was taken into custody.

He's charged with inducing panic and is being held at Summit County Jail.
