GREEN -- Two 14-year-olds were cited after they crashed a car and fled police overnight in Green.

According to the Summit County Sheriff's Office, a 14-year-old boy and his 14-year-old friend took his mother's vehicle for a ride without her knowledge early Wednesday.

The driver lost control of the vehicle, rolled it over and hit a parked vehicle at Shriver Road and Sunnyview Drive about 3 a.m.

The two juveniles both fled the scene on foot but were later located at one of their homes.

Both were cited with curfew violations, and the driver was cited for operating a vehicle without a license, reckless operation and hit-skip.

Both were taken to a local hospital for evaluation.
