AKRON -- Police are investigating two unrelated weekend shootings in Akron.

According to police, the first shooting occurred about 11 p.m. Friday in the 800 block of Delia Avenue.

The victim, a 14-year-old boy, said he was at a party when an unknown male started firing shots.

The boy was shot in the right leg.

He was taken to Akron Children's Hospital with injuries that do not appear to be life threatening.

The second shooting happened about 11 p.m. Saturday in the 900 block of Copley Road.

According to police, an 18-year-old man was shot in the abdomen outside a business on Copley Road.

He was taken to Akron General Medical Center, where he is listed in serious condition.

The suspect in the second shooting is described as a black male wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.
