Northeast Ohioans and companies have come through to help the Cleveland Foodbank provide meals to those who need them.

The Cleveland Foodbank and Channel 3 teamed Thursday up for an all-day telethon. Corporate partners then doubled the donations to maximize the help to the Foodbank.

The telethon raised $57,971.50 which was doubled into $115,943 with the help from corporate sponsors. That's enough money to help provide 463,7680 meals.

Among those donations was $1065 from the Millridge Center for Hearing Impaired children in the Mayfield City School District.

The Cleveland Foodbank provides an estimated 40 million meals a year in its efforts to make sure everyone in the community gets the food they need.

The need still exists, and it's not too late to help out the Cleveland Foodbank. Contact them at (216) 738-2265.
