WASHINGTON D.C. -- The brutal winter storm gripping Washington is impacting Republican efforts to pick a convention city.

Three cities' presentations have been cancelled because of flight issues.

Las Vegas, Dallas and Cincinnati will get their chances March 21. Cleveland's delegation is still due to make its case at 5:30 p.m. today.

Columbus was first up this morning and Columbus Mayor Michael Coleman led that city's convention team.

The presentations are closed to the media but afterwards, Coleman said the committee claimed to be impressed by Columbus's pitch.

Coleman said he thought it was a positive that three Ohio cities are bidding.

"It makes us all stronger," Coleman said.

Coleman said he made no negative remarks about Cleveland or Cincinnati.

Columbus and Cleveland both plan to vie for the Democratic National Convention too.
