CLEVELAND – The 2014 construction season will be a busy one on Northeast Ohio roads. ODOT District 12, which covers Cuyahoga, Geauga and Lake counties, has three big projects planned for 2014.

The biggest of the three projects is the continuing work on the Innerbelt Bridge. ODOT plans to demolish the old bridge by next summer. After that construction crews will start on the second bridge.

The second big project is a bridge deck replacement project on Interstate 77, between I-480 and Grant avenue. "This was a project that we had originally scheduled for three years but just recently we had the project rephased and it only take two years," said Amanda McFarland, ODOT Public Information officer.

The third project is good news for Lake County drivers. The I-90 pavement project is expected to be completed in the fall of 2014. Overall ODOT District 12 has $723 million slated for 27 projects in 2014.
