Law enforcement near LeBron James' Ohio home is getting ready for an announcement that could come today.

According to a tweet from Phil Trexler of the Akron Beacon Journal, "Bath police to increase patrols around LBJ's home after 3 p. when announcement is expected "tonight." #KingJames"

Bath Township police confirmed to Channel 3 News that LeBron's people have asked them to be on alert but say no timetable has been given.

Trexler added that the thinking in Bath Township is that James will be coming back to Cleveland.

"Folks in Bath feel strongly that LBJ will sign w/ CLE. LBJ's camp contacted cops hour ago to alert them of tonight's annoucement. #kingjames," he tweeted.

It is not uncommon for Bath Township police to be called to provide extra security around James' home.

Bath Township Police Chief Michael McNeely explained that a main concern is that traffic does not become an issue for other residents of James' development.
