CLEVELAND -- If you typically take I-77 South out of downtown Cleveland, be prepared to take another route Wednesday night.
All lanes of I-77 South are scheduled to close between I-90 and I-490 from 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 31 until 6 a.m. Thursday, June 1.
Drivers can detour around the closure using I-90 West to I-71 South to state Route 176 South to I-480 East to I-77.
The closure comes as the ODOT performs striping operations in the area.
The partial closure means there will be no access to I-77 South from E. 14th or E. 21st. Access will be cut off to I-77 South from Orange Avenue after Cleveland Indians' game traffic clears.
You can access I-77 South from the Broadway Avenue ramp, which is just south of I-490.
Crews will also close one lane of I-490 West between E. 55th and I-77 in Cleveland at 7 p.m. Wednesday evening.
When the lane reopens at 6 a.m. Thursday, the ramp from E. 55th / I-490 West to I-77 North will reopen.
This closure is due to striping operations as well.
