Cleveland ties a record high on Monday

CLEVELAND - Another record high temperature has been tied in Cleveland in 2016.

The National Weather Service says the previous record high temperature of 82 degrees set in 1953 and 1950 was tied at 4:55 pm Monday afternoon.

This is the sixth record high temperature tied or broken in Cleveland in 2016 including 63 degrees on February 3, 94 degrees on June 12, 95 degrees on July 13, 94 degrees on August 5, 94 degrees on September 7 and today's high of 82 degrees.

For the month to date, Cleveland is holding onto the warmest October on record, or about 6 degrees warmer than normal.

Expect temperatures again in the low to mid 80s on Tuesday according to WKYC Chief Meteorologist Betsy Kling. 

The record high for Tuesday is 84 degrees set in 1950.
