Tutorial: Using the Weather Wizard

The Main Window![]() The main Weather Wizard window, the default setting when you start your computer, shows current conditions for the ZIP Code you've selected, an Alert Button that flashes when there are developing severe weather conditions, breaking news and/or Amber Alerts. The main window also offers you a "Menu" button that gives you complete control over the Weather Wizard, a "Radar" button that launches the interactive radar guide and a "News" button that displays the latest headlines posted on wkyc.com. ![]() Minimizing the main windowBy clicking on the "x" at the top-right corner of the main window, the Weather Wizard will continue to update the latest weather and news, but take up less space on your desktop. Radar menuBy clicking on the "radar" button on the main window, you launch the most powerful part of the Weather Wizard. The radar screen shows constantly updated: Local radar, Wind direction, Humidity, Temperatures, National radar, National Temperatures, and a Hurricane Tracker. ![]() Zooming in on the weatherThe radar screen is your own, personal weather show! Zoom in and out of local and national radar conditions by using the left and right mouse buttons. The picture above shows the radar window when you first open it. By "left-clicking," hitting just the left mouse button, you zoom into the area you've clicked on. Want to zoom back out? Just click on the "right" mouse button! ![]() You can close the radar screen by clicking on the "x" at the upper-right corner. The Weather Wizard will stay open. News menuBy clicking on the "news" button on the main window, you launch a window that shows the latest general news and breaking news headlines on wkyc.com. ![]() You can close the news screen by clicking on the "x" at the upper-right corner.
