Rocky Mountain High......

We have spent the last couple of days here in the Mile High City enjoying some nice summer type weather and some great views. There is nothing like the Rocky Mountain landscape that looms off the West and provides a backdrop for this western city.

There were times way back when we would travel to Kansas City and see a slew of Colorado license plates in the parking lot. Asking our local friends what that was about, lead me to really understand that after KC, there was no pro baseball franchise available until you hit the West coast. That answered that....

So now baseball is flourishing here with the Rockies coming off a banner year as National League Champions. Their progress is a little slow here in the first few months of the regular season, but it is a long season and there is plenty of time left in the 2008 campaign.

I will have some pics of Coors field coming here, but for now I would leave you with a view from the 18th floor here in downtown Denver. It is not hard to understand why the outdoors have brought a lot of folks out this way to enjoy the natural resources that this part of Colorado can provide!
