"Real Housewives of Atlanta"
How many of you watch "The Real Housewives of Atlanta reality show on Bravo?
I must say, it started out as a guilty pleasure for me.
On the one hand I'd tell myself, these women are so pretentious and don't represent any woman or friend I have.
On the other hand ...Its like a train wreck, you can't believe what's happening and you can't turn away.
However, after watching the reunion show last night I realized something "each of these women need intervention, guidance or therapy" at the least.
I'd love to know what you think about the show?

Oh my!!! You used the exact description (a trainwreck) that I had used last week to describe the RHofA to my sister. I found it hard to stop watching, even though the lives of the women have NO similarity to mine.
Now sis says she has also been mesmerized by the far-out behavior of the wives.
Kim (the blonde) was on Bonnie Hunt show last week and seemed to have regained a more dignified personna. I don't think I'll be watching next season; if there IS one.
Hi Romona -
I also watched "The Real Housewives of Atlanta". I have to agree with you on your assessment of those "ladies" on the show. I've never seen more back-stabbing behavior since high school, and these are supposed to be adult women. The reunion show was a train wreck. Poor Andy! I wonder if their behavious manifested as a result of the money that they have, the fact that they ended up on a reality TV show, or both?
Hey Laura,
I was told with the exception of Eric Snow's wife...the others don't really have any money.
One of them reportedly took out a 50k loan before the show started so she could be seen shopping!
How sad?
Hi Anonymous,
I wish I had seen Kim off the show, maybe I would have found a redeeming quality in her.
She just seems so self involved and will do whatever it takes to get what she wants.
Hi Romona,
I too made RHOA a guilty pleasure. I am an Eric Snow fan, and so I tuned in. My impression of him hasn't changed. He seems like a wonderful husband and partner. DeShawn I liked best among the housewives. While I can't say I would seek her out as a friend, I do like that her charity efforts took such a prominent role in her story line.
The others?? One word: yuck. I've never seen a bigger group of self-absorbed classless women. Can't say I would give any one of them the time of day.
Although.... NeNe did give me a chuckle!
Anonymous,
I hear NeNe and her husband were evicted from their home last month.
I like that she seems to "keep it real."
I too am a fan of Eric's, but DeShawn seems to need a little guidance...you "do not" tell all of your business and your husband's business to folks just because they ask...especially not on national television!
I agree, the show was like a disaster that you just couldn’t turn your head away from. It’s like when you cover your eyes with your hands, but then you peek through!! I always had to peek through. Even when I wanted to turn the channel I couldn’t. I also agree that Eric Snow’s wife seemed to have the most sense, even though it was very irritating that she claims she hasn’t cooked a thing in the last ten years!! GEESH!!! Hey, maybe if I had that kind of money I wouldn’t cook either!! The housewife that was really a thorn in my side, who wasn’t even a housewife because she was divorced was Sheree! Confidence is one thing, but cockiness is something totally different. She was a bit too much for me. She seemed very self absorbed and I will never understand having a showing of a new clothing line, without any clothes!!!! They should just make the whole show about Dwight, the 6th housewife.
Brooke,
Isn't Dwight a trip!
He walks into a room and you can't help but look at him from head to toe.
Sheree is my least favorite, she tries to come off as sophisicated with so much confidence, but I think she's hiding behind insecurities.
