Dr. Phil & Octuplet Mom

I'm just curious what you guys thought of Dr. Phil's interview with Nadya Suleman.
Did it change how you feel about her and her decision to get implanted with 6 embryos?
Some have called her irresponsible...others say she's out of touch with reality.
Did she say anything to convince you otherwise?
Or do you think the children are here and we have to help take care of her now 14 children?

My mind has not changed. Dr. Phil was too easy on her. . ."She needs help indeed'!

I was very disappointed in him. There was so much he could have asked and said. I wonder why he didn't say anything to HER about the way she talked over and around him backpeddling as though she was getting away with her lies and evasive answers. I wanted him to call her on the carpet for not taking care of the 6 kids she has. Her mother, father, and the taxpayers were already taking care of her. How about her $50.00 manicure? How much has she made from all these talk shows?

I must say, I've talked to Dr. Phil several times here at the station and I was surprised he let her talk over him.
As you know he can get right in your face.
I'm hoping tomorrow...he'll ask more of the questions I want to know.

I am surprised in that he is usually very tough when questioning guests about decisions, actions, etc. Although he too was probably trying not to be biased or judgmental he should have asked her "How is that workin' for ya?" with regard to trying to raise 6 kids alone. She may have received some settlement from a workers comp case (I think) but it won't last long with 14 mouths to feed, plastic surgeon bills and manicures. He wasted a good hour on a person who will NOT be impacted positively by his suggetions or comments. He (and his viewers) would have been better served if he had offered his time to someone who might have been willing to consider his opinion and not make excuses for what is simply self-indulgent behavior.

I am shocked and honestly disgusted with people who have negative things to say about her. It is none of our business what she does with her family and she owes us nothing. How many babies are born everyday to families who can't support them? It's not like the government is going to put an extra tax on your paycheck for "octuplets in California". And anyways where are all these negative comments when Jon and Kate had their sextuplets, not only did they receive free baby stuff, they are still receiving trips to Hawaii and Disney World free of charge. Maybe she should not have had 14 kids, but they are here now so lets get over it!

It IS the country's business about this lady having all of these children (3 disabled, thus far), being on food stamps and disability. We ARE being taxed for this and the money that is now going to help her (if she doesn't get private donations), is money that now won't help others that need ligitimate help.

Jon and Kate were BOTH working and contributing members of society when Kate got pregnant. They did not do IVF where they deliberatly put 6 embryos into Kate. Jon now continues to work to provide for his family and they do the TLC show who pay for their trips, NOT the taxpayers of this country. THAT is the difference.

Social services is already aware of Nadya and her children. The hospital won't let the kids go home with her with the circumstances being the way they are.

As hard as it may be, I personally think Nadya should do the right thing now and put these 8 children up for adoption to families that want/can afford a child.

She can barely take care of the 6 she already has, is a student living off of student loans. The other 8 babies shouldn't have to suffer because of their unrealistic mother.
