"STILETTO BABIES"

This story really bothered me today (Click here to read).

Two Moms are now selling "stilettos for toddlers." The video shows a toddler trying to walk later falling down in the shoes called,"HEEL-ARIOUS."

The creators say the shoes are made only for infants up to six months old…and the heel is "squishy" for safety reasons, so a fall is not harmful.

Nevertheless, my question is why? Why are some makers of childrens items constantly pushing images of young girls all made up, baring their stomachs and navels and much more for commercial purposes. Parents have a hard time, as it is, making sure their girls dress appropriately. Now we're starting with the infants in "fake stilettos?"

I may sound like a prude, but I'm sorry this is sick to me. Most girls can't convince their parents to wear lipstick or any other make up until they reach the "tween" years, so why would we put sexy adult shoes on a toddler.

Lets face it the child doesn't know the difference, so is this for adult gratification? Oh, I forgot the creators said it was meant to be all for "GOOD FUN."
