Aggressive storm hits Willoughby Hills
WILLOUGHBY HILLS -- Around 3:15 Saturday afternoon, Willoughby Hills was hit with an aggressive storm, according to a police department announcement.
Police say the storm only lasted 15 minutes, but knocked down several trees, one of which fell onto an occupied pick-up truck at the police station.
The female passenger was transported to a hospital. There is no word on her condition.
All of the city's service departments are out with chainsaws, trying to clear away trees that have fallen onto houses.
Police confirm that Community Days, a local event, was canceled as a result of the storm.
There were many power outages and a small electrical fire in the dispatch center of the Police Station. The fire was brought under control quickly, and the dispatch center is back to fully operational status.
Apparently, no one was hurt in the fire.
