Your say: State of the Union
President Bush will make his sixth State of the Union address Tuesday.
He knows he'll be facing a tough audience, as members of a Democratic-controlled Congress and the American people listen to his plans.
What are your thoughts on the State of the Union?

The president's state of the union speach lacked any concrete plan to deal with the "civil war" in Iraq...He didn't heed the advice of the committee on Iraq, and now he proposes another bipartisan committee, apparently only to give him some cover when he again disreguards their advice.
I wish we would do something concrete -- led by the government -- about global warming.
"reducing gas usage 20%" just isn't as inspiring as "landing a man on the moon before this decade is out"
not an impressive goal (reversing climate change would be better), not an impressive speech.
This state of the union adress sounded like the state of his presidentcy....IN TROUBLE..
He said everyhting he was willing to do for other countries with billions of dollars in funding for thier causes....WHAT ABOUT OUR CAUSES...
He didn't mention New Orleans at all or the gulf coast where is the help for our own country!!!!!!
Help for our citizens who are barely living on what his party is willing to give as far as jobs, healthcare or schools. We will never be able to compete in the world market place without the tools his party is willing to outsource.
All in all I give his speach an"F".
George Bush is a great President. I feel when he speaks he is talking directly to me and has my best interests in mind. I listen for plans directly relating to Agriculture, and I know he is listening to American Farmers.
I watched the State of The Union Address and realized that Bush and his cohorts have correctly determined that the American people are like babies. Give us a rattle to play with ie: tax and health reform and we will "forget" about the real issues. How insulting. This man started an illegal war and refuses to stop it. We elected this meglomaniac and he now has ALL the power. Sick and sad.
Politics has become a joke. To take it seriously is akin to taking Jerry Springer seriously. Until WE, THE AMERICAN VOTER, stops blaming each other for the mess that POLITICIANS are responsible for, we'll never make improvements for our kids and their kids.
Politicians, all parties, play the same game, just on different teams. Think of it like pro sports...where the players all shake hands and talk prior to the game. After kickoff, they're mortal enemies. Then post-game, they're back to friends, congratulating each other and offering good luck wishes to one another. Politicians are the same way. They, like pro athletes, get paid by US, yet could care less about us.
Remember DIVIDE AND CONQUER? Old strategy that is working perfectly today. As long as the country is divided, the politicians and THEIR SPECIAL INTERESTS thrive (both sides, they all have special interests). It's absolutely IMPERATIVE that the country be split nearly 50/50. That way there's enough of our tax money to go around and they're all happy. We're being PLAYED FOLKS...WAKE UP.
They devised the current system, they populate it, and they regulate it. They came up with a system in which they hold all the cards and if you ACTUALLY BELIEVE they care what we believe, you are delusional.
