Ameritrust skyscraper: Save it or scrap it?

Do you think the Ameritrust Tower should be demolished or saved?

I think it should be saved ... unless taxpayers can get a promise that tearing it down and rebuilding is cheaper.

COMMISSIONERS WILL DO WHAT EVER COSTS THE MOST NO MATTER WHAT SHAPE THE BUILDING IS IN

The Cleveland Trust (or Ameritrust) skyscraper is a historic landmark. I think it should be saved.

Even though I'm all for preservation of history, I can't see that for anything more than an eyesore. Retrofitting is always more of a pain and more costly. And in the end, you don't have the building you needed. Tear it down, build a greener building. Use a local contractor for demolition and a local for rebuilding. We need jobs, action, a future. It's time to turn Cleveland around!

I work across the street from this building and look at it all day out my window. It's an eyesore. Let's build a efficient, modern building that enhances the neighborhood.

I was born and raised in Cleveland and I've lived for many years in both New York City and Chicago.

It seems the typical mindset of Clevelanders to simply tear down, rebuild,(or not)and destroy their own cultural heritage in order to please the money barons.

The Ameritrust building is a historic landmark, created by the reknowned architect Marcel Bruer.

Cleveland should try to emulate REAL cities like New York and Chicago, who appreciate, preserve and respect their architectural history, not to mention their cultural...never mind...I forgot.
There is is no culture here.

Screw that building and the whole city of Cleveland. The entire northcoast and all the suburbs are ruined becouse of Cleveland. Someone should have the ballz to fence the whole city in and shoot any crackheads that try to leave!
