Your say: Ohio lawmakers want to ban lap dances
Ohio Senators passed a bill this week that says strip club dancers and patrons must be kept six feet apart.
The law would also force clubs and adult bookstores to close at midnight if they do not have a liquor license.
The law now goes to the Ohio House for a vote.
So what do you think of this law? Have Ohio lawmakers gone too far? Should such regulations be left up to individual communities?

Thats not right....Welcome to COMUNIST AMERICA! Pretty soon ALL of out rights will be taken away
I think it is ridiculous. I do not frequent strip clubs or adult stores but banning lap dances and closing adult stores at midnight does nothing to address the real problems we face. These actions are not going to stop people from abusing drugs, killing others or committing crimes. This is just another example of people trying to push their moral adgenda on others.
Do the Ohio lawmakers really have anything better to do?
If the state senators can't find something more important to talk about then maybe we should replace every last one of them and start fresh. Between this legislation and the legislation trying to dissolve local communities ability to negotiate contracts with cable providers the state has proven it cannot be trusted to keep it's nose out of local governments business.
Maybe we need a state wide referendum to re-write the state constitution and further limit their powers over local minicipalities in order to deflate their swelled heads.
Welcome to the People's Republic of Ohio
How is this an issue? Why are they wasting their time? How many police hours will be consumed enforcing this regulation?
The only thing making adult oriented businesses "magnets for crime" is the lack of community support for a legitimate industry.
I don't think they should be allowed to do lap dances at all. They dance on stage, isn't that good enough???
Once again the government is trying to save us from ourselves. The House and Senate should be concerned about the state of our educational system, or the fact that Ohio's population is shrinking as people flee the state in search of better economies and lower taxes. The 'lap dance' issue is a complete waste of time.
I say stop spending time & money on trying to controls the citizens social activities whatever it may be within the leagal relms that are already in place. Focus on taking steps to keep the citizens of Ohio safer against crime.
I think that they are trying to regulate morality. Let the men have their fun. Ban prostitution, sure, but come on, lap dances? I can understand the no touch rule but 6 feet away, does this inclue husband and wives too? This is ridiculous. Next they will be telling us men and women can not kiss in public.
That is outrageous, that is the best thing about a gentleman's club. This state might as well become an islamist state and require women to wear burkas over their heads!
What does the state do about all the violence on TV and in Movies? The bloodloving violent culture of this state and country is far worse than any sexually oriented activites. Touching and massage and dancing are all positive for people. The lawmakers only seem to want to encourage totalitarianism, punishement, and violence. Shame on them.

This is absolutely ridiculous. How can lawmakers tell citizens what they deem acceptable for entertainment? I have been to these establishments in the past, and they handle themselves like professionals. When does the government stop pushing the limits?
Why is this an issue that our lawmakers are involved in? Don't we have more serious issues to be concerned about? You have got to be kidding me. The lawmakers in Columbus are so ridiculous that I am elated my job is taking me out of state. Everyone wonders why our young people keep leaving. Open your eyes Columbus, and focus on issues that really matter to the people of this state.
Oh, my gosh! It this seriously the most pressing issue with the State of Ohio? Lap Dances?? In a state that contains one of the worst school systems; in a state that is suffering with unemployment and crime; a state whose largest county has more people leaving faster than every other county in the nation (except those affected by Hurricane Katrina), the most pressing bill passing through our congressional leaders is whether or not there needs to be 6 feet between a dancer and her patron?? No wonder this state is suffering. Why can't Columbus and the State of Ohio work more towards education, employment and safer communities than worry about lap dancing? Didn't this week at Virginia Tech open the eyes of anyone leading this damn State?? Get a clue down there in Columbus, or else the voters need to start cleaning house!
Frustrated in Cleveland
I think the Ohio law makers are going to far dictating what business owners can do and can't do. If you want to smoke and get a lap dance you sould be able to. As long as its legal and not harming inacent people then they need to quit. When Ohio starts to loose money then they will wake up.
I think the government should stay out of this. What adults want to do with their free time is up to them. If they want a lap dance let them have one. Sure I wouldn't want one, but I don't insist that every body else feel that way either. Why does everybody have to force their opinions and feelings on everybody else? People have a hard time minding their own business.
Just an indirect way to get strip clubs out of Ohio. Ridiculous.
That's one of the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard! I'm a woman who isn't a supporter of women who choose to strip for a living, but even I realize that this is crazy! What a waste of time, effort and tax payers dollars! I'd rather throw my money away at a strip club then on a bunch of lawmakers wasting time and efforts on something that is completely HARMLESS! Maybe they should worry themselves with something more important like figuring out how to keep drunk drivers off our roads!!
This is absolutely ridiculous. How far are people going to let the government reach into their lives before they realize that their constitutional rights are being abused/flat-out ignored?
What justification do they have other than some overly self-righteous bible-thumping quack whining about how they don't want "something like this" in their neighborhood?
It's called the right to free enterprise...not to mention the right that these people have to, you know, NOT GO THERE and leave the rest of the world to live their own lives
That's funny because all the male Ohio lawmakers like to get lap dances too!!
It's know wonder everyone is leaving this state.
Sadly, there appears to be no logic to this bill. It's simply some prudish official's way of controlling the lives of others. I do not frequent strip clubs, but why should I, or any government or voter, care what happens inside them? Let people that want to live that way do so....what happens inside those walls has no impact on me.
Sadly, this will pass because no politician will speak up against it, for fear of being labelled a pervert. Once again, government by fear of image-tarnishing will win.
I feel that it should be left up the comunity to make such a decision. Our problem in society is not due to lack of laws but due to the lack of respect for each other. Most people now days would rather dispise your mere presense than to look at you. Judges need to start enforcing the laws and not just slapping offenders on the hand to allow them to just turn arround and do it again. USA is in very sad shape these days...frown.
This is America, not the Vatican City. Let the people do what they want. I'm tired of watching our freedoms dwindle away. When will this stop??
So the lawmakers will be home to their wifes' after midnight. This will give the lawmakers a reason to stop coming home so late.
I thought this was the land of the FREE. First you ban smoking in bars and now you are trying this crap? Its pretty sad these YUPPIES are trying to dictate how we live our lives.
The only reason they want to make the law is because they don't make enough money in taxes from the dancers. I say we petition for a law that keeps politicians 100 feet from PAC's and campaign "contributors". What they need to concentrate on is making it so my children aren't going to have to pay 50 grand to get college education from a state college and find out when they are done they don't have a job because our Republican and Neo Conservative friends have made Ohio completely unliveable.
The dancers are there to make money. I think the government is afraid there making more tips than they are reporting. The patrons go there for the lap dances.
I think passing a bill to control gasoline prices, health care costs, and other problems that are affecting everyone in ohio would be more appropriate.
We chose to go to strip clubs, we don't chose to pay for gasoline or health care. Just because their salaries are substantial enough, and there benefits are great and these costs don't affect their everyday lives doesn't mean they don't affect ours.
Anymore, it sure doesn't feel like the land of the free. Our troops is fighting over in iraq for our freedom but we are not getting any. Next thing you know the lawmakers will be trying to intrude into our homes and telling us how we can or cannot arrange our furniture. There are more important issues that needs to be dealt with but the lawmakers rather push that aside for the petty stuff. How ignorant. With the way this country is going, I no longer feel proud to celebrate Independence day. To me, it's just like any other day.
Quite worring about stuff like this and do your jobs get jobs in ohio, straighten out the ecomomy and do something on the federal leval and get a plan to get us out of iraq
THIS IS CRAZY! 1st the smoking, now the rights of individuals to seek entertainment- next, it will be the liquor. When will the State put their agendas' in proper order? Or, is this just appeasing just a few minority? Go back to your books, rectify education, safer schools, & communities. This is so tedious..!!! I getting so frustrated with the politics here in Ohio & our Nation...
Good! I hope it passes, about time someone other than smokers take a hit!
This should not be regulated by the state at all.
Please write to your state representatives and lets stop this from becoming law!
I am glad to know that all the other problems facing Ohio have been sloved, such as school funding. Thank you Ohio Law makers for showing us what truely matters.
We can all thank that wonderfully regressive organization down there in southern Ohio ... Citizens for Community Values. They apparently feel none of us have the ability to make decisions about our own lives ourselves but require their help, so they pressure the Ohio Senate to vote on legislation WITHOUT a Senatorial sponsor!!!
While I personally do not perform, I have acquaintences who do. Most of these folks get paid squat from the establishments themselves; they depend on tip money. A 6' restraining order would effectively eliminate their ability to make money.
But, then again, I suppose that's what the folks down there at CCV are hoping ... the entertainers will stop entertaining, the audiences will stop coming, and they can get back to pushing baby strollers past white picket fences on a warm summer's eve.
I'm capable of making my own decisions, thank you very much. I don't need your help.
I guess our elected officals have nothing better to do. This law would only hurt the girls who are trying to make money to pay for college or to feed their family. Why do our elected officals want to hurt these ladies. There is nothing wrong with lap dances. This is not prostitution. This is harmless fun for the men and women. What is really hurting our society is the state run lottery system. Do you think we will ever see a bill passed banning the lottery. I think not. They just keep adding drawings and games but the money still doesn't end up funding the schools.
They are going too far. Next thing you know they will have a law for when you can eat and drink.
An example of a right: A right to a safe workplace
An example of privilege: being entertained by faceless women for sexual pleasure.
Your desire for a privilege DOES NOT trump a woman's right to a safe workplace... or at least the safest possible.
Quit your whining underlings, remember, men aren't the only people on the planet, women are supposed to have rights too. Your desire to have all privileges you want should never trump a basic Human right. Now, on your way out, go find yourselves a few grammar and spelling books, you all need them desperately.
my minum wage is 2.70 I"ll give it to who I want and my armes are not 6 foot long if thease places have to close at midnight why not all stores thanks you commy law makers when you going to start a curfue for everyone and hay whers my minum wage whats it for if not to live bring up people born disabled to minum wage you guys alredy want to stop my girlfirend and me from getting married youll take away our disabilty and cut it in half why not take away all my rites and we can have a goverment overthrowing party all us free people can go to jaile then these lawmakers can suport us
Just what our state needs, another reason for conventions to pick other locations !
I totally agree with the senators. I think strip clubs should be illegal to begin with.
These establishments don’t just employ entertainers, they employ managers, servers, dj’s, bartenders, and cooks. So does it make sense to force all of these people out of jobs when other companies are picking up and moving out of Ohio on their own? I understand that a lot of people do not care for the “adult” industry, but if you don’t like it then don’t go to these places. It’s that simple. I can’t stand sushi but you don’t see me trying to ban sushi restaurants throughout the state of Ohio, do you? It’s just another way for the conservative, upper-crusty crowd to try and control what everyone else does. It’s no longer “land of the free”, it’s become a very blame your neighbor, sue everyone, ban everything that just might offend someone country. I work part-time in an adult club and I do not fear any huge incident of crime or feel unsafe at any time. I do however, fear for my future and the future children of America if laws like these continue to pass. I do not want anyone to dictate what I can and can’t do or where I can and cannot go. Independence Day should be re-named “get a free day off work” day. Independence and freedom are becoming a thing of the past.
Taxes are the third highest in the country, jobs/educated people are leaving the state in record numbers. Housing foreclosures are one of the worst. How are we going to fix this? I know lets ban lap dances. Wow, after all of this work the lawmakers should vote themselves a raise. Ohio, "the joke of it all".
I think it would be better if they banned strip clubs altogether. It might lower the rate of STDs in Ohio.
I am always wondering why the rights they take away are the ones a lot of people enjoy. They tax smoking (very high), then ban smoking in businesses, then they don't pass a law that would bring a casino into our area, then they get rid of lap dances. Lap dances aren't the root of all evil, the crime will not be effected bacause of this ban. Why close a strip club early and leave the bars open. This state has some stupid laws that are singling out people.
This is a waste of time and money. America is preoccupied with sex and legislating against and censoring it.
These laws do nothing. After all the politicians who were found to be engaging in the very things they tried to legislate, I find this offensive.
Stop passing new useless laws and start educating about and enforcing laws that deal with violence.
I don't see how having a naked woman dance for you in close proximity is such a problem. There are laws to protect the dancers from abusive customers, as in any business, and those laws should be enforced. If there were no demand for this kind of entertainment it would go away. Do our legislators believe that only degenerates go to strip clubs? That is a pretty dim view of the men of Ohio. Are the women so weak and stupid that they can't spot a problem customer? What a dim view of the women of Ohio.
Many of the dancers use the money they make to work their way through school or support families. What will happen to the others who work in the club if business slows? Whether the legislators agree or not, this is a business and it is legal. Legislating morality in this country has never worked.
Do we want to become like the Taliban and have a Department of Morality? I sure hope not. Whose morality will make the cut?
Where is the logic in the idea that a man can be trusted to own a gun, but not to view or be close to a naked woman? Ridiculous!
A club is private property that is open to the public. If lap dances are problematic for the public then they need not enter the club. The club is designed to meet the needs of its patrons, each of whom have the choice of entering the club or going somewhere else. It is wrong to take away that decision from any patron.
This is absolutely the right thing to do. The only thing hanging out in strip clubs is the worst our society has to offer. From the sexy little scantily clad big chested sweet toed woman providing us awesome entertainment to the pig men going to visit them. At least I know that I will be forced to stop eating red meat and fried chicken and they will probably ban me from breathing the air in cuyahoga county as it is polluted ... yikes... My name is Scott V and I approve this message
It is no wonder the state is in such a mess. The state is too busy worrying about the distance between a stripper and a patron to tackle deficits, dwindling population, lack of jobs, horrible schools or violence.
I bet 5% of the population is concerned about strip clubs. Oops, sorry about that. As you know, gambling is not allowed in this state either.
How about working on the economy and the schools. If they going to ban lap dancing at strip club, what's the point of going?
Another good reason for me to move out of state. Ohio is sooo far behind the times its not even funny! Goverment needs to stay out of peoples buisness,The FCC and the religous right are single handedly ruining this great country!
Chris Fryfogle
This is absolutely ridiculous! I thought this was America! Those sanctimonious hypocrites in Columbus need to spend their time fixing the school system instead of something this stupid! Stop wasting taxpayers money on dumb stuff like this. Hey, how about getting and keeping drunk drivers off the road? Thats something they could be doing! I'm so tired of Big Brother trying to dictate to me. Stay the heck out of my private and social life. I don't choose to go to those places but they have no right to dictate to those that do.
ohio needs to quit making all these stupid laws, that should be the least of their worries, we are one of the top taxed states out of all of them. from no smoking to this,to taxing cigarettes and alcohal over and over, again, when are we going to stand up for ourselves and stop letting them run our lives. what happened to america the free
Check out all the responses... mostly from HORNY MALE PATRONS! LOL! That said, I think it's ridiculous to ban lap dances. It is really a 'non-issue'. There are SO MANY MORE IMPORTANT THINGS TO WORRY ABOUT AND LEGISLATE than whether some horny adult should be able to get a little pleasure! Our schools and roads are falling apart, there are too many handguns circulating with gun laws that are lax, our jobs are being 'offshored' in record numbers to places like China, India, and The Philippines, and a few MORONS decide to make this an issue?!?! This is 'smokescreen politics' at it's best folks. I have nothing against our government working for us, but let's tackle the REAL ISSUES AND CHALLENGES FACING US AS A NATION for chrissakes!!!
Who Cares!
More restrictions on individual freedoms is NOT what we need. These puritans will stop at nothing to extinguish any fun that a person has. Get on the web, look up your congressman's address, phone and email and tell 'em how you feel!!!!
Oh Yes,Just what we need,Yet another stupid law,How about taking care of some of the Issues that are important to most of us, Like health care,Education,And the lost jobs we have suffered in this state. How many rights will we lose before we all finally stand up and say,Enough is enough....
We need to stop lap dancing so people will have money for the taxes raises.
Id take it a step further...ban the clubs altogether....all they are are magnets for scum...crime, drugs, etc etc...speaking from experience as a law enforcement officer who has to deal with the undesireables who tend to hang out there...if one of these places would go up anywhere near your home, expect your home's value to go down by 20% easily...
this is crazy. i am moving out of this state. why stay here with one of the highest income tax rates, HIGH property tax rates, lack of good jobs and now you cant smoke (you can pay outragious taxes for cigarettes but you are forced to go outside and freeze in ohio's horrible climate 9 motnths out of the year) I LOVE strip clubs, now their taking that away too, what about all the jobs that will be lost from this. this will literally force them all out of business. there are so many better places to live than ohio, this is my breaking point, I am so sick of this state. why not let people live their lives without forcing their beliefs on them, what do they care as long as no one is causing harm to someone else. why not address more important issues like health care or the rapidly increasing unemployment rate. No wonder Ohio's population is decreasing at an alarming rate. There is no opportunity here and now you can't have any fun. Pretty soon Ohio will be worse than the town in footloose. If I was fresh out of school I would move the ---- out of here as soon as possible. California, here I come - time to start living a better life.

Why not just shut down these clubs. They are full of nasty degenerates.
If th Law Makers don't want to go to Strip Clubs, etc., then by all means we shouldn't force them to do so. However, they should refrain from interfering with every little aspect of daily life. It's not what they were elected to do. How about addressing the issue of School Funding instead. Now there's an issue that really deserves attention. Maybe they could legislate a Tax on Lap Dances. That would generate some additional revenue, and give them the personal satisfaction of striking a blow against SIN!!
PA-LEASE!!! If this is the most important issue our state lawmakers have to tackle, then I want the job! If only they could be so productive on the school funding issue and increasing employment opportunities. For the most part, these establishments hurt noone; pay taxes; employ people nor cause any more trouble than regular bars. They're just another easy target of minority interests who think they know best for the majority. Laws like this are what cause every day citizns to lose faith in their government and representatives. Let's get serious about some real issues!
With Ohio schools struggling and companies leaving the Buckeye State, I am surprised that the Ohio Senate actually found time to deal with lap dances in strip clubs. This is something that should be handled by the various localities, not the state government in Columbus. That would free up some valuable time in the legislature so they can handle real serious issues, like education.
Hey everyone remeber who still controls the house and senate in ohio the republicans ..... they been taking rights away for years.. vote right vote democrat and you wouldnt have this problem!
Clearly, those who have already posted have shown their displeasure with their legislators' intrusions into our civil rights and I agree--but please contact the Senators and Representatives DIRECTLY!
Just utterly amazing that our state government has nothing better to legislate. Apparently the only set of operpaid boobs are not in the strip clubs but rather in the state buildings in Columbus.
Our
elected representatives have forgotten that they are elected to represent the will of the majority and are Public Servants, not our Rulers. They make laws to control us, not govern us, based upon their personal preference and private agenda. Slowly but surely, these "Rulers" are nibbling away at our rights as private citizens and relegating people to the status of servants and slaves. It's almost as if we, the people, are their property to do with as they wish and take from us what they want.
Their abuse of the legal system is disappointing and frightening. Will my children live their lives in a police state?
I think our ohio lawmakers should find better issues to worry about. i do not go to strip club often, but if i do, i want to see them closer than 6 feet away. what was the ohio law makers smoking when they voted for this. let's give a drug test. or check their bank account to see if they were in fluence by a pay off before they voted. from anonymous in cleveland

Good thing Ohio has figured out how to constitutionally fund our public education, increased job's, decreased the number on welfare and fixed all the problems with our transportation department. Since all those problems are fixed I guess pushing moral agenda and imposing beliefs on the people of the state is the best thing to do. Way to go! I am pretty sure that the Bill of Rights i.e. freedom of speech, assembly and so forth no longer imply...

I think it is a good idea. Things have gotten so bad over the last 30 years that almost anything to reverse, or at least retard, the the further coursening of our culture is a good thing in my opinion. In the long haul, behaviors such as lap dancing do not exist in a vaccuum, and together they all contribute to damaging our sensibilities and to lowering our respect toward one another. It's hard to see the impact if you consider only one behavior, but collectively, these things pack a whallop. Yes to the ban.
well what is the purpose of the so called LAP DANCE ? what does it do for the guy having some broad sit on his lap and shake her booty, besides giving her a fue bucks for the service.GETTING AROUSED.what a cheap thrill.to bad you cant get aroused normally without porno flicks or the so called LAP DANCE.WHAT A GREAT SOCIETY.ONLY IN AMERICA.
This is plain stupid. Adults don't need the cops to tells them how to relate to each other. Fix something thats broken - education. Lap dances don't hurt anyone.
Another right taken away. These lawmakers work for us. We are their employers. Let's threaten them with their jobs. Let's fire them all. Here is the Senator's name and address who finalized this stupid bill. Give him a call or email and let him know how you feel. Let's become pebbles in their shoes.

This is a terrible law, many young women need good paying income which lap dances provide. It is a voluntary small wealth thansfer from the generally more well-off to the generally less well-off.
How can the northern part of the state secede from the totalitarian bible wavers in soutern Ohio?
SO YOU DONT LIKE THE COMMENT,WHY DO ASK FOR COMMENTS IF THEY HAVE TO BE SENSORED BECAUSE YOU DONT AGREE WITH SOMEONE ELSES OPINION ?
This is dumb. At six feet apart you can't even put your money in her garter or his if its a male strip club for the ladies! Most of them don't get paid by the owner, tips are their income.
This is completely rediculous. It coincides with the Port Bills last attachment of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA) which says that US citizens can not fund online poker websites, but allows online horse and lottery wagers.
So, I'm glad that our governing bodies don't give a damn about what the PEOPLE WHO ELECTED THEM want, but instead are hiding behind the same 'blanket of morality' excuse over and over.
Here's a free lesson for our Nation...
THE MORE YOU LIMIT FREEDOMS, THE MORE PEOPLE **WILL** WANT IT MORE.
Bad law. That will drive people to after hours joints which are springing up to accomodate the smokers and under age but adult looking drinkers.
i think it's a great idea

Ok...enough with what they call the moral majority. Why do they think they can push their beliefs on everyone. The Legislature should focus on the REAL PROBLEMS facing the state....Like school funding that has been ruled unconstitutional...and the jobs that are leaving this state in droves. They always pick something that is easy to do to show they are doing something in Columbus. Why don't they get down to hard business of school funding and lost jobs. We should throw out EVERY LOUSY POLITICIAN and get new blood that will actually DO SOMETHING CONSTRUCTIVE.
I say it's about time!! I'm sick of the lowest of the low in our society dictating what is OK morally. Why do we want to contribute to addiction and exploitation of women? Men have no shame anymore; it is disgusting.
This is the worst thing ever that Ohio lawmakers can stop. How about worrying over school saftey and other hot topics that affect us day to day instead of worrying about girls or guys getting lap dances?? For all of us who are singal it is nice to get some action once in a while!!!
In their spare time they passed this? I usually keep up with the current news and all, but I must have missed the bills they passed recently fixing our embarrassing public school funding (or lack of), our out of this world state college costs (pretty sad that it's cheaper to go to out of state schools and pay the out of state prices), all the new money to fix the roads and bridges that are falling apart, or cleaned up the scandal filled state house full of dead wood employees floating around!
I guess I wasn't paying attention.
Oops, my bad!
I think this law is just another way for the lawmakers in Ohio to keep running this state like it 1950. I am a entertainer and I can say right now, there is no way that they can enforce this, especially after all those police lay-off's. And for all of you out there who think this is a good idea, im willing to bet 10 to 1 that you're all women who never see your husbands because there are the strip club...get over it. You don't like the strip clubs, dont come in.
This is ridiculous!!! It's the "HOLY ROLLERS" touting their religion onto all of Ohio. Don't go to these clubs if it's not your thing. I see welfare costs going up by closing up the dance bars. "LIVE AND LET LIVE"
This just goes to show what our lawmakers are doing with their time in Columbus...instead of spending the time to fix the major problems with the public school systems - like providing updated textbooks, school supplies, heated classrooms and making other major repairs...they spend the time and our money on something like this! We need to find out the lawmakers who voted on this bill to pass and remember that when it is time for the next election...we need lawmakers who will spend their time and our tax dollar on far more critical issues that this.
As a woman - and wife - who opposes strip clubs in general - I have to say that this is a bit ridiculous. If men want to degrade themselves - and the woman involved - then it's their own business. The big hand of the law should have nothing to do with it.
A politician must have walked into an strip club with really fugly dancers if this is on the table. If you don't want a lap dance, then don't go in there - plain and simple. It's not like the girls are out there and giving these lap dances in public. I personally wouldn't go in one, but my husband has and it doesn't bug me one bit.
The politicians need something better to do. Seriously.
Time for lawmakers to get a life, instead they have to take ours...wheres the forms to fill out i have to go to the bathroom...
I am starting to wonder if NIN's new CD/ARG, the movie Equilibrium, and every police state book is coming true. Forget this useless fluff, I want to see things that will better this state. Not political policing. The issue here is that crazy Republican Christians can't do what they want to do sexually, so they limit the free people.
Long live King Bush and his Merry Men!
Thank you, State Legislators, for "standing up" for what is morally correct!! We support you;----100o/o!!
well at least we know their priorities - education and unemployment be damned lap dancing must be dealt with - aren't they a little big to be in our laps - get real...
Don't our legislators have more important things to do, like fix school funding?
I'm tired of paying high property taxes so the other 550 school districts in this state can avoid being taxed.
It's time our legislators make every property owner in Ohio pay an equal amount!!!! Then our school funding problems are solved!
Finally, a glimmer of hope that society might have some values, morals, & ethics. Obviously the patrons that visit these establishments aren't able to make responsible choices and need guidance (regulation) to steer them away from being bad role models, father figures, husbands, etc. Hopefully more fathers will be at home reading stories to their kids at night or on their knees praying for guideance rather than in strip clubs. ((By the way, I've NEVER heard of, known or met a female who works in one of these establishments that has NOT been sexually abused or violated in her past. Maybe if men would realize the pain & torment of these tortured souls they wouldn't be paying them to continue to sell their bodies for feelings of approval or self-esteem. Think I'm being far-fetched? Gentlemen, just ask your next lady friend & see if I'm right. Be prepared to feel like a exploitative, manipulative, sexist pig after hearing their stories.))
What a waste of taxpayers dollars. Instead of stopping our good jobs from leaving the state, they are worried about lap dances. The taxpayers of Ohio want good jobs and not the crappy low paying ones that have been brought in over the last few years. Bring in some quality companies. Forget about the social agenda legislation.
maybe lap dances should be illegal.. it might save relationships!
w/o lap dances!!!!!!!!!
what else can/does a guy go (there!) for?????????
