Cavs vs. Pistons: Game one thoughts

The Detroit Pistons turned in a vintage defensive effort Monday night for a 79-76 victory against the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 1 of the NBA Eastern Conference finals.

What were your thoughts on the game? Can the Cavs turn it around?

LeBron did the right thing, you go for the win. Especially when the guy you're dishing it off to hit 6 of 8 3's in the last game you played. As was just said, if they'd made their foul shots we'd have won the game plain and simple. If they aren't willing to spend the extra time in the gym shooting free throws we can't expect to win.

LeBron is not the superstar everyone thinks he is, very overrated, if is what everyone says last nights game would have been a win!

Can't bash LeBron....he did almost have a triple-double. He may not have played his best game, but we can't pin this loss on him! He got hacked going to the hoop several times with no call. The problem is foul shooting....its pathetic. Its the easiest shot in basketball!

I think he is being over scrutinized. He did the right thing, besides, they lost by 3 not 2! Had he made it they would have still been down by 1. He knows that he will draw extra attention from opposing teams and he knows that leaves a teammate open and so he takes advantage of that. Fans are too quick to judge and play monday morning quarterback. This is the first game of the eastern finals, not their first game of the playoffs. Be patient.

It is so easy for fans to play monday morning quarterback. He did the right thing. They were down by 3, his layup wouldnt have even tied it. LeBron IS the superstar we all thought and KNOW he is. He knows he will draw extra attention from the opposition, so he dishes it to the open teammates. This is the first game of the Eastern Finals, not the first of the playoffs. LeBron is catching heat from an over-highlighted play when the team should be getting heat from missing the most often practiced shot in basketball....the freethrow!

LeBron is way overrated! Michael Jordan was ten times the player LeBron is. The Cavs will not make it past The Pistons, and Cleveland will once again, fantasize about winning a national title!

i think lebron could use new additions next season. we need some cavs that will show up for every game to help him. you have about 2 or 3 players that do show up every game. we need at least 12. i beleive we can beat detroit if that happens.
