Romona on her first TV job

Romona Robinson at her first TV job

Wow! What a difference almost 20 years can make.

I can’t help but laugh at my awkward appearance and horrible attire on my first job in Jefferson City, Missouri.

All I can say is you didn’t make a lot of money in the 165 television market. I was paid $14,000 and after rent and a car payment there was little money for clothing as you can see!

I was 21 years old in this picture and this is literally my first day on the job as an Anchor.

I was scared to death even though it was the job I had always dreamed of.

I’ve come a long way since my days as Anchor, Reporter, Videographer and Editor at KRCG-TV. But those are years I will never forget.

I may be more polished and experienced now … but my days of struggle, hardship and determination to succeed in this business have shaped my life today.
