Let me start by saying I'm not a dedicated devotee of the webbed wonder (although I did see the first two movies in theaters) but I was thoroughly entertained for all two hours and twenty minutes of this movie. The action was fun, the shots of Cleveland in the fight scene with Sandman (probably only recognizable to a Clevelander) are thrilling, there's some funny lines, and, like the other Spider-man movies, the themes are not one-dementional and work on several levels. Peter Parker wears a black suit in the movie and fights his darker impulses, showing that hero and villain aren't always black and white -- the relationships are surprising complex with varying shades of gray. "Spider-man 3" is reported to be the most expensive movie ever made and, as far as entertainment, you'll get your money's worth.
