I commend The Indians for persevering all the way to the division championship. They had some rough times, such as being swept twice by The Yankees, but ultimately, that didn't matter. The Tribe has as good a shot as any team at winning The World Series this year, and this just very well may be their time!

The Indians are going to the World Series this year and they are going to win it all. Boston and Los Angeles can be beaten. And if they play the Yankees again, Cleveland will show them that they are the toughest team in baseball. So what if they swept us during the regular season, we just were not playing as well as we should have been during those games.

I was listening yesterday and when the last pitch was made, tears came to my eyes. See, I lost my dad in July to pancreatic cancer, and he was a HUGE sports fan, Indians and UK Wildcats especially. I told my husband shortly after he died that this would probably be the year that the Indians won the WS and my dad wouldn't be hear to see it. During every game lately, I have felt as if my dad was sitting there watching/listening to the game with me... So it was so bittersweet for me. So all I can say is...WIN IT BIG FOR MY DAD GUYS! : )

This team is very different from the Tribe teams of the 90s etc. We are bringing pitching to the dance this year which wins championships. We will go as far as the starters and bullpen can carry us. If the hitting is even moderate we should be in good shape. Let's get homefield and go from there. It's time for a championship in Cleveland as the Cavs have done little to nothing to improve and the Browns are light years away...

Way to go, Indians!!!
You've made Cleveland proud and we don't have to listen to the Pittspuke fans calling us 'the mistake on the lake' anymore.
What's most exciting about this team is that they are just that ... A TEAM!!! Not a group of overpaid primadonnas like the Yankees.
Go show the east coast teams that those from the heartland truly have HEART!!!
Thanks for a wonderful year.

I can remember as a little boy my Father taking me to Cleveland Stadium along with the other 5,000 Tribe fans during the 70's and the 80's. I have always been a die hard fan of the Tribe. The 90's were awesome but The Tribe came up short. This is the year the Tribe comes home with their first World Series win since 1948. We have the Heart and the best young Players in the sport. This year I moved to South West Florida and people here have been saying all year that the Indians will not make it to the playoffs. Well they have proved people wrong so far. Now they are saying they won't win the Series. Let's keep proving them wrong and bring home the Championship. Go Tribe

We have a great team of players who are well suited to each other, play well together and want this as badly as the fans of Cleveland do. These players are showing pride for their team and town!
Maybe the Browns could learn something from the Indians regarding "team pride" and then they too can experience Cleveland's excitement.

What an exciting year it has been. All the predictions by the national media for Detroit to take the Central. And, Cleveland clinches by September 23 in dominating play of great baseball. My only regret is that I live out-of-state now and will not be there to see Fireworks go off as the Indians down the Cubs in six.

I left clevelnad 7 years ago and I miss my "home away from home.... Jacobs Field" we were gonna try to fly home for the rally on Monday but couldnt make it. Just wanted to wish the best team in baseball the best of luck in the WORLD SERIES!!!! We will see you next year when you come back to Tampa to play the Devil Rays, untill then... GO TRIBE!!! HI MOM!!

When they clinched the Central, and watched the post-game celebration, I shed a tear. Not because they've never been there before. Obviously not. But, because this team seems a little more special than in past years. I guess it's because of the combination of excellent pitching and good hitting and defense.

I really feel confident this team can make a deep run into the post season, and even winning it all. First things first though. Spank them Yanks!

Earlier this season, the Indians got SWEPT at Yankee Stadium, and they got SWEPT in their own backyard at Jacobs Field, and they will get SWEPT again in the playoffs! Let's face it... it will be a cold day in 'hell' when The Indians win a future World Series!!!!!

Signed, a perpetually dissapointed Cleveland sports fan
