Buckeye Blitz

After so many weeks of waiting, the Ohio State Buckeyes will finally get the chance to play for the national college football title and possibly silence all their critics at the same time.

The Battle on the Bayou will commence in New Orleans on Monday night. How will you be celebrating the championship game? Channel 3 News wants to hear from you.

Send in your plans for parties or celebrations to show your Buckeye pride. Please include a contact name and daytime phone number. One of you may be selected for a story to be aired on Channel 3.

Also, remember you can always upload photos from your party through wkyc.com

I'm planning a Reggie Germany/Mo Clarett/Andy Katzenmoyer 0.0, 5-7 years, AIDS Awareness party where we will give away free Explorers (which of course will have to be given back when your eligibility is up....I mean when the party is over....ahem). I'm going to have an empty sweatervest standing in the corner doing the 3 monkey thing.

My family and I are going to Kalahari. It is a Waterpark/Resort. We will be there for the game. My family was at Kalahari last year, too. We except to have just as much fun this year. Sitting in the room, watching the game, eating food. Watching it last year was fun, but I am postive to have more fun this year.

We have BETTER things to do than waste our time watching a bunch of jocks engaged in masturbatory activities with a leather oval shaped ball! There is more to living in Ohio than OSU and The Browns for chrissakes!

I plan on going with some friends to Bw3's in Lorain, Ohio or I might go over a church member's house to watch the game with a bunch of our members from our church. I wanted to travel on a bus with my friend Stephen(He goes to Ohio State so he automatically had a spot on the bus ride), but I was unable to go with him because I don't go to Ohio State. I go to a different college. I'll basically be spending my OSU National Championship game in Lorain, Ohio and I know I'm going to have alot of fun celebrating an OSU win!

Columbus is 2.5 hours from Cleveland. I do not understand the infatuation with the Buckeyes...seems like a bandwagon thing to me. How many people actually went to OSU ?

Party? Are you kidding? I couldn't care less about OSU and The Buckeyes, and it's not because i'm a Michigan fan either (i'm not). Frankly, I think this ridiculous hyper fanaticism for sports that we see here in NE Ohio has gotten out of hand lately, and it's embarrassing when I have to entertain out of state guests who ask me "don't you people wear anything else other than OSU or Browns shirts and caps around here?!"

Yawn. Could not care less like most people in NEOhio...unless you're an OSU alum...who really cares! Let's get real...up here in NEOhio we don't even think we're Ohioans...we really are very different from the rest of this state...were more cosmopolitan here than the rest of the hicks...in my opinion.

My church, Pathway Church in Strongsville, is planning on showing the game on our two big screen projectors in the auditorium of our church! Everyone is bringing a snack and I look forward to rooting the Buckeyes on to victory among family, friends, good food, and loved ones all together under one purpose! This is definitely shaping up to be a most incredible and unforgettable night!

Sports is the opium of the masses. Ask most people watching the game who the VP of the USA is and you probably won't get the right answer...America has been dumbed down...and, sorry to say, getting dumber...give them sports and they'll be happy...as the country goes down the tubes.
