Holiday Spending Hangover
Here come the credit card bills after the frenzy of the holiday shopping and spending season.
Are you getting sticker shock when you open those billing statements? We'd like you to share your story with us. (No names needed).
We're curious what some of your largest credit card bills are for. Are they in the $100, $1,000 or even $10,000 range?
Or are you living debt free and not worried every time you open the mailbox?

We spend what we would if we were using the cash and never carry a balance. We use a couple of different cards depending on the perks they are offering and use those to buy gift cards from Giant Eagle for the fuel perks. Double bonus!
We spent within 5% of what we planned on spending this year so no sticker shock here
I paid cash for everything. No bills will show up at my house. I work too hard for my money to throw it away on interest charges. I paid off my 30 year mortgage in 11 years and saved 110,000 in interest charges. I sleep very well at night because I refuse to fall into the trap of credit. America wake-up stop the cycle of the constant race to have the newest thing, the biggest house, etc.
I have a hugh family. I am expecting the worse when the mail comes.I spent some where around $3,000. By the time I got what everyone asked for this is what I ended up paying. When your doing it you dont even realize that your spending that much. I like to use cash but it is so much easier with a credit card. So for me to avoid those finace charges I pay way more then the minium payment. Thats the only way you can pay the stuff off.
My husband was laid off before Thanksgiving and money was tight!! I set a limit to what would be spent on each family member and stuck to it by using cash and NO credit cards. It made us realize that Christmas is about celebrating together, not buying beyond your means. No one in my family would ever want expensive gifts from us that would cause us to lose or house. This turned out to be one of the least stressed and most loving Christmas seasons we have had in a long time.
