LeBron's Yankee Inspired Shoe

Start spreading the news..... Nike is reportedly preparing to unveil a new shoe inspired by LeBron Jame's love of the New York Yankees.

The shoe will only be sold in New York but will feature pinstripes and the #23.

So after the controversy over LeBron wearing a Yankees hat during the ALDS, how do you as fans feel about the shoe?

I think those attending home Cavs games should wear Indians gear to make a point.

What a loser. The King James is the King of Queens! Let him go play in NY. After all, I'd rather have a losing Cleveland Cavs than a team leader who disses our city.

Listen people, this is America. And even though I am an American, and proud of it, here are the facts.
Americans are greedy. We want more. All of us. It is our nature. Can you honestly tell me you don't? And is it necessarily a bad thing? The guy who makes 50 thousand hates to see the guy making 150 thousand want more, because he feels he should be content. But the guy making the 150K thinks nothing of wanting more because he is critiquing the guy making half a million. And so on. LaBron already stated that he wants to be a billionaire. Good. Have at it. And the ones who have the power to assist him do it will continue to pay. Ultimately, that is us. Since we are never content, we will always want more. And since Nike and all the rest of the big players know that, they will continue to market us with the "next big thing", and we will want it. Because we have an image to maintain. And on SOME level, we all buy in to it.
So LaBron, good luck. Go for it. Have fun. And for all of you who show up to a game dressed in a #23 LaBron James jersey (even though you are clearly not him) or pay the freight to fit in.......quit bitching.

Well.. I agree with the other post that said americans are greedy!!

There is No reason Labron should even be putting his name on shoes that unfortuantly is gonna cause ALOT of kids to either get beat up or even killed for!!

On the other hand,, its really NOT his fault.. its the stupid people who continue to buy the crap!!.. WE americans "feed into the Greed"..

Labron, is obviously so far into the greed that Not even he cares about his hometown enough to support it!..
It so Sad what Greed and LOVE of money will do to a person!

I'm not a Lebron fan or a Cavs fan. But buddy! COME ON! How dare you expect people to come out and support you when you don't give a crap about the other home teams. Shame on you Mr. James . . . shame on you.

First the Yankee's ball cap and now this? Where's the loyalty to the city that has supported him since high school? It's only a matter of time before he dumps Cleveland, and I for one can't wait to see him go.

I am a big LeBron/Cleveland Cavs fan. I say who cares. LBJ brings so much to Cleveland and the team. What he does outside of the game is his business. You go LeBron!

LEbron, Come on man! You were born in Akron, not in new Yuk. Atleast TRY to be supportive of the city you play in...It made me sick seeing you with a Yankes hat on during the MLB playoffs...I know they said you were a yankees fan all your life but a shoe! That means you dont give a crap about our city/state.

Backing a Yankees shoe is as bad as Jumping ship to another team behind another teams back when they had a verbal agreement to stay(we all know who that was dont we folks??) I dont know if I can support "queen james" anymore....He is a GRADE A SELLOUT and is all about the MONEY! Have some backbone and try to be supportie of the teams in the city you play for.

Lebron who?? Who really cares what he endorses, it's all for the money. He would endorse 5# bags of doggie doodoo if there was a buck in it for him. Our loss would be New York's gain. Nough said.

Once again, the media, and many NE Ohioans are 'making a mountain out of a molehill'! Folks, this is America, where supposedly, one still has the freedom to be a fan of whichever team he or she chooses, or grew up liking. There are Indians fans in New York, and there are Yankees fans in Ohio. No big whoop. Execpt maybe to narrow minded, provincial, nitpicking, curmudgeonly dolts who have nothing better to do than to make an issue out of a non-issue. If anything, you people should respect and applaud LeBron for being HONEST, and expressing his like for The Yankees, his favorite baseball team. He has been a Yankee fan since his youth (not too long ago), so why should he lie about his allegiance? Given the small-minded reaction of so many Ohio sports fans regarding this issue, I certainly would NOT blame LeBron if he wanted to get the heck out of this area in the future, if opportunity knocked with another team. Many of YOU have given him cause to want to!

I've never been a big basketball fan and this really makes me not like basketball at all, LeBron is a selfish pig and doesn't deserve to play a professional sport in this city. I was really pissed when I saw him at the Indians Game with his NY hat, this makes me even more mad. LEAVE LEBRON NO ONE WANTS YOU IN THIS CITY GO TO NEW YORK AND SELL YOUR CRAP THERE!!!!!!!

Considering the number of people in New York City - he should make a lot of money. That is his market target

If LeBron wants to promote New York send him there. He will probably go after his contract is up.
He is a bad influence for the Cleveland Kids.

Bad move on the PR and image. Bad decision for LeBron. Bad PR for Nike. Is he just after the money? Come on...Where's your loyalty to Clev, the fans, and YOUR teammates???? Our respect for LB has gone down a few more notches.

LeBron get the hell out of Cleveland if you love New York so much. You have absolutely no allegiance to your own hometown. I thought you had really stooped low when you wore that damn Yankees hat to the Indians game but now you but i was wrong. The only thing youcare about is how much money is in it for you.

Leave Cleveland LeBron!!!

Could you imagine if our troops were wearing shoes modeled after Saddam or Osama? Sports are obviously not as serious as war, but the fact is when you play for a team, your allegiance should align with the team and the city accordingly. Especially when that city is helping LeBron to become the first Black Billionaire Athlete. Patronizing a team that is opposed to the success of your own is something that should be questioned.

If LeBron wants to be a real role model, endorse NY pin-striped condoms since he can't seem to marry the woman he keeps having children with.

I would not expect that the all of the Indians players would HAVE TO choose the Cavs as their favorite NBA team. Let LeBron make his own decision on what sports team he wants to root for...Big Deal. Hey people, mind your own business.

Instead of wearing Indians gear to a Cavs game, why not wear San Antonio gear!!! It was San Antonio who beat the Cavs in the playoffs - wonder how you would feel with all the fans wearing Spurs gear. LeBron, you are a disgrace to the city you play for.

I think the Cav's Fans should stop buying anything with his name on it. If he can't support the city he plays for then why should we support him? How would he feel if fans were to wear San Antiono Spurs gear to a Cav's game? I think we are now seeing the real LeBron.
