Cavs Blockbuster Trade

Late word Thursday is that the Cavaliers pulled off a last minute blockbuster trade.

The complex deal involves nearly a dozen players.

Will the move make the Cavaliers better and get them back to the NBA Finals to finish what was started last season?

C.C.'s Statement

Tribe ace, C.C. Sabathia, issued a statement on his website Thursday morning saying that he's in effect tabling contract extension talks until the end of the season.

The Indians and C.C.'s representatives had been trying to hammer out a deal. But C.C. in his statemenet says now that spring training is here, he doesn't want to be distracted by on going talks. His statement says he remains hopeful a deal can be worked out with the Indians.

C.C. is eligible to become a free agent at the end of the 2008 season.

Well Wishes for Tyler

Tyler Graham of Berea has faced more health challenges in childhood than most of us will in an entire lifetime.

Tyler underwent a heart transplant at just six months old. Now he's battling cancer. His family is confident that once again Tyler will beat the odds.

But, being in the hospital can be hard and even a fighter like Tyler can sometimes use a little boost.

Channel 3's Chris Tye has been covering the trial of Bobby Cutts Jr. in Canton for the past two weeks.

The jury is now deliberating the case.

Sewage for Scholarships?

In his State of the City address, Akron Mayor Don Plusquellic proposed selling or leasing the city's sewer system for more than $100 million dollars to generate college scholarships for Akron Public School students.

Illegal to Eat?

A bill introduced in the Mississippi State House proposes to make it illegal for restaurants to repeatedly serve obese customers. Repeat violators could have their permits yanked by the state health department.

Two-thirds of Mississippi residents are considered overweight or obese.

Is this proposal going too far to combat obesity?
