Eyes of the Intern

Hi everyone! It's the intern, Lauren. We just finished up the Weekend Morning Show a little bit ago. It was kind of a hectic morning, as you can see if you read our Weekend Morning Show blog.

This is my 3rd week interning at the station. I'm really enjoying my time here so far, and I love working with all of these people. They all have made me feel really comfortable and are willing to help me in any way they can. I really appreciate that. This past week, I went out with Reporter Dave Summers. He did a story on the summer job market for teens. We went to a local Wendys, a landscaping business and a few other places. It was a really fun day, and Dave was great to work with. He made sure I understood everything he was doing. After being out with him all day getting interviews, we came back to the station so he could type his script. I sat with him and watched him type it. He still had to go out and shoot a live shot with Randy, one of the photographers. I decided to go out with them for that, even though it was after my shift was over. Dave thought it would be a good idea to go out and watch them, and he was right. Plus, Dave and Randy are really funny so I didn't mind hanging out with them for a little longer. Well that's all I have for today. I'm sure I'll have a lot more to tell you next Saturday.
