Our 91 year old mother was just released from the hospital, we will be celebrating her recovery at a rehab location and thanking God she is still with us.

Happy Mr. Mom's Day to my husband, Bill Allen. He truly does more than his share around our home, including ALL the laundry. Rosie, our puppy, and I don't know what we would do without him.

What am I doing for my mother on Mother's Day? It is the most humbling experience a child could do for a parent. I am going to place flowers on her grave.

I will be attending church with my Mother and Grandmother this morning. After Church, we will return to my parents home and eat the meal that I have prepared along with one of my girlfriends. Two of my Mother's Friends will be with us as well along with their children for dinner. My Mother and Grandmother will open presents that my brother and I have given them for Mother's Day. It will be a wonderful gathering with family and friends and I am thankful that I can allow my Mom to relax today and allow her children to show their appreciation for all she has done for us.

For Mother's Day I sent my mom on a scavenger hunt where she would get little presents. At the end of the hunt she found Rod Stewart tickets with a gift certificate for a new outfit and a lunch to use the day of the concert. When she gets home from work there will be a homemade dinner waiting for her.
