What Mother's Day reminds me to do
As I looked at a photo from my first Mother's Day, it made me realize how fast time slips by and how quickly our little ones grow. Terry Pitak is now 9...going on 16! I kept a journal of all of our firsts together...our first Christmas, our first show at Playhouse Square...I love to look back on those moments now. Everyone told me that when you have a second child, many times you forget to do the things you did with your first. I do have a journal for my little Max, but I have to admit it's not nearly as full as Terry Pitak's.
As a mom, who wasn't sure I would ever be lucky enough to have my boys, I am so grateful to have Terry and Max. No matter how a family is formed whether by birth or adoption, it is such a sacred bond. I will make sure to remember that as I tuck them in bed tonight, and hopefully I will write about the day in my journals! Kim
