The weekend morning show blog has reached a milestone. One year ago today, we launched the Channel 3 News Today weekend morning show blog on wkyc.com.
Over the course of the year, we've gone from a few funny articles written by the staff to a full on multi-media and social networking hub. (I just thought that sounded cool)
Now on the blog you can watch our shows live on the web each Saturday and Sunday morning, and we offer you the unique opportunity to chat directly to our anchor Kim Wheeler, our meteorologist Bruce Kalinowski and other folks behind the scenes who are working on the show like our TD/Director Matt, our Producer Caitlin, our Floor Director Jess and our assignment editor "Julie at the desk" during our live broadcast.
Another feature we've come up with on the blog to make it more interactive with you, the viewer, is by making it easy to keep up with your favorite WKYC personalities. You can keep tabs on us through Facebook, Twitter, and email.
You can check out Kim's "Bookworm Buzz" each Saturday morning to find out what children's books are Kim's favorites along with the favorites of other local celebrities and sports personalities from the Browns, Indians, and Cavs. You can also see all of our local artwork with the "Kids Color Our World" slideshow that we post every Sunday morning.
We've done a lot in our first year, and we have even bigger and better ideas yet to come. If you have ideas for what you'd like to see us do in year number two, please email them to
weekendmorningshow@wkyc.comThanks for watching and blogging with us!
