"I Want My MTV!" Part Deux
MTV has come up with a "band-aid" to appease those folks still angry that a channel named "Music Television" no longer shows music videos. The channel has returned, somewhat, to its musical roots by launching MTVmusic.com, an ad supported site with loads of music videos dating back to the network's original popularity surge.
So far, here are the top 10 most viewed videos on the new site...
1. Money For Nothing by Dire Straits
2. Womanizer by Britney Spears
3. Heroes by David Bowie
4. Once in a Lifetime by Talking Heads
5. Never Gonna Give You Up by Rick Astley
6. Welcome To The Jungle by Guns N' Roses
7. Video Killed The Radio Star by The Buggles
8. Under Pressure by Queen and David Bowie
9. Me Myself and I by De La Soul
10. Space Oddity by David Bowie
Wow, does one of those songs not fit in or what? Anyhow, it is a fun, nostalgic look back at the great music videos that started it all so I thought I'd share it.
