Due to NBC's coverage of the Olympic Games, Channel 3 News Today will be limited to 1 hour on Saturday morning from 9am - 10am. You will still be able to webchat live with Kim, Jeff, Bruce and the crew, but for 1/2 hour shorter than normal. Also, there will be no noon newscast on Saturday due to the Olympic coverage.
It will be quite a sports day here on Channel 3 with Olympic coverage from 10am - 4pm, then we will break away to bring you live coverage of the Browns vs. Lions preseason battle in Detroit, and then return you right back to all the action from Beijing following the game.Labels: Schedule Changes, Weekend Webchat
Since NBC is the proud home of the Olympic Games the weekend morning show will only be an one hour long over the next few weekends, so NBC can bring you countless hours of coverage of the games.Labels: Weekend Webchat
We apologize for the problems with the live webchat thispast weekend. However, all of the bugs have been worked out and we promise that the webchat will return to the Weekend Morning Show this weekend. Please join us on Saturday and Sunday beginning at 9am!Labels: Weekend Webchat
We had some "Big Fun Shows!" this weekend. Saturday we were at a British Car Show and saw some great old Jaguars. On Sunday we tried to go live from Twins Day Festival but our Live Truck couldn't get a signal out to our receive site.Labels: Big Fun Show, Dawn Ermler-Fischer, Weekend Webchat
We had a "Big Fun Weekend"! I enjoyed the Christmas Story House remote! What you all may not know, our tape room operator was in the movie. Bob Bassett was an extra in the movie. I watch that movie every Christmas season. Remember to join in on our live web chat! It's fun!Labels: Big Fun Show, Weekend Morning Show, Weekend Webchat
We had a "Big Fun" weekend on the "Big Fun Show"! The Dew tour was fun! The Irish Cultural Festival remote gave us some great music and dancing! We had a great looking dog on the show, and Today's Law informed us about retirement benefits...remember the story we ran on the GM workers losing their benefits. We also had some great Del's folks packages! Let's keep the web chat going! Thanks to all those loyal chatters who join us every weekend!Labels: The Big Fun Show, Weekend Morning Show, Weekend Webchat

First of all, the crew of the Weekend Morning Show would like to express our deepest sympathies to Officer Joshua Miktarian's family, friends, and fellow officers.Labels: Officer Joshua Miktarian, Weekend Webchat
Following the unfortunate fatal shooting of an officer over night, we decided to send Jeff out to cover a press conference to find out more details. Kim held down the fort in Studio A. With Dawn directing the last hour of the show, director Matt was able to post video to the web and stream the press conference live with the help of Julie at the desk. Producer Caitlin did a nice job of pulling together the changes for the show at the last minute. Great job to the weekend morning show team for pulling together to get the coverage on the air and web so our viewers were able to find out the latest information.Labels: Caitlin Kollar, Dawn Ermler-Fischer, Jeff Maynor, Jess Starr, Julie Ocepek, Kim Wheeler, Matt Babb, Weekend Morning Show, Weekend Webchat, WKYC

Hey Folks! Sorry for the lack of content on the blog, but I have been off for the last couple of weeks welcoming my new daughter into the world. Mackenzie Grace was born just over 2 weeks ago and since then I've been adjusting to life at home as "Dad".

Hope you are having a great weekend! It's beautiful outside. Inside today, we had another great morning show. We missed Kim because she is off today, but we had some fun. Jeff needed her for the trivia answer! She may have to participate in our live webchat from home to help us with Bruce's trivia questions!Labels: Bruce's Trivia, Jess Starr, Starr Sightings, Weekend Morning Show, Weekend Webchat
Our debut live web chat was a success. I hope you had a chance to log on and chat it up with Kim, Jeff, Bruce and the rest of our crew this past weekend.Labels: Bruce Kalinowski, Jeff Maynor, Kim Wheeler, Weekend Morning Show, Weekend Webchat, WKYC
Another successful day for our new live webchat! It's day 2 and I really enjoy this feature. Yesterday was busy in Studio A and I didn't get to chat much but I had a little more time to follow along today. Thanks to all who joined in the chat! I think Bruce, Jeff and Kim are really having fun with it, and I know the crew is. Looking forward to next weekend. Hope you'll join us then!Labels: Jess Starr, Starr Sightings, Weekend Webchat
Today we did our first live webchat on the weekend morning show. I didn't get to post much because it was a busy show in the studio... but what a great thing to have. I love seeing viewer responses come up on the screen as things are happening on the show. Labels: Jess Starr, Starr Sightings, Weekend Morning Show, Weekend Webchat, WKYC

Today the Weekend Morning Show Blog will launch its latest feature, a live webchat with the cast and crew of the show.Labels: Weekend Morning Show, Weekend Webchat
Not always. Just because our shows for today and tomorrow have been bumped due to French Open coverage, it doesn't mean that the crew gets the day off as you might think. There is still plenty to do and people needed to do it.
Then, coming up on Sunday, the crew will all be in for a 12:30 Indians On-Deck show on SportsTime Ohio prior to the Tribe's game at Detroit. Labels: French Open, Schedule Changes, Weekend Morning Show, Weekend Webchat
