Cleveland's Public Square will transform into 'Prismatica' light exhibit this weekend

See it from Oct. 18 through Nov. 15.

CLEVELAND — You don't have to wait for the holiday season to see Public Square glowing with lights and color.

Prismatica, an interactive lighting display, will take over Public Square starting this weekend. Visitors can play with 25 moving life-size prisms mounted on projector bases, standing more than 6 feet tall. A variable-intensity soundtrack accompanies the kaleidoscope-like displays.

The display is free to the public with support by LANDFORM and the Fowler Family Foundation. It will remain in Public Square through Nov. 15.

Created by Raw Design of Toronto, Prismatica debuted in Montreal as part of Luminothérapie at the Place des Festivals in the Quartier des Spectacles. Since then, it has appeared in Chicago, England and France.
