If the winter blues are getting you down, and you're a little short on cash after the holidays, Polar Fest may be the answer.
The free, family-friendly winter celebration runs over the last weekend in January at Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds. Called "an interactive winter festival," the fun includes food trucks, ice wine, ice carving, an art show, vendors and activities for all ages, indoors and out.
"The fairgrounds approached us about doing something in the off-season," says Lisa Nemeth, owner of Northcoast Promotions, which partners with the fairgrounds for the event. "We wanted something for people to do in the dead of winter."
Polar Fest continues today, Sunday January 28 from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. Parking and admission are free.
