It's not too late to plan a special day with your special someone.

Whether you spend Valentine's Day with your significant other, or turn Feb. 14 into Galentine's Day with your best gal pals, there's plenty to do around Northeast Ohio to celebrate.

Get married at the Akron Civic Theatre

Akron Municipal Court will perform Valentine's Day weddings at the historic Akron Civic Theatre. Appointments must be scheduled and paid in advance, so don't get cold feet. Couples will also need a marriage license prior to the ceremony. Cost is $25 for those who live in the court's jurisdiction and $40 for those who live outside it. Lonely Hearts karaoke

Sing your heart out, whether it belongs to someone or not. Twist Social Club is hosting, meaning there will be drink specials so you can fill up on liquid courage before belting out "Unbreak My Heart."

Yuzu's 'American Psycho' Valentine's Dinner

Celebrate Valentine's Day a little different at Lakewood's Yuzu. The bar and restaurant is known for its quirky theme nights, so expect this to be a good one. The meal is $16 per person and two rounds of Serial Killer Trivia will follow.

Fear Valentine's Day

Terrestrial Brewing Company has partnered with Fears Confectionary to bring you an anti-Valentine's Day. The brewery's Facebook page says the event is to "escape all those gross couples that make out at the bar." They'll be showing horror films and Fears will provide you with tasty sweet treats.

Wear red roller skating party

United Skates of America in Wickliffe is hosting a skate party at which you're encouraged to wear red. Kids wearing red get in for $1, adults wearing red get in for $3. They'll play Top 100 music and provide cafe specials all night.

Hearts and Stars Planetarium
