If you ever been to Steelyard Commons or the "A Christmas Story" House, you're probably familiar with The Painted Lady, an eye-catching Queen Anne Victoria home that sits on the end West 14th Street.
Now, the seven-bedroom house is up for sale for the first time in 20 years, and though the owners will only show the home to serious, pre-approved buyers, WKYC got a rare peek inside.
"I've never sold a house this old before," said realtor John Corral, with Howard Hanna.
Originally finished in 1894 for Cleveland lawyer Solomon Schmuck, the current owner undertook restoration working hard to preserve the past.
Described as a "time capsule from a bygone era," the house features five fireplaces, intricate woodwork and original wood floors & lighting. The kitchen and bathrooms are the rooms that have been updated.
It's not just the fixtures that add to the home's history though. The classic TV show "Route 66" filmed an episode there.
"The episode shot in this structure featured a young Robert Redford in 1961," said Corral. "So Robert Redford has walked these halls."
A secluded garden and a 2 1/2 car garage also sit on the 85 foot by 150 foot lot.
The current asking price for the home is $499,900.
