Scam Squad: Flooded cars making their way onto used car lots

The Better Business Bureau is warning consumers to look out for cars that were in floods.

While Houston and Florida are on the road to recovery, following hurricanes Harvey and Irma, the better business bureau is warning, flooded vehicles from those areas are starting to pop up on local used car lots.

“If the car smells like mildew or moldy and if it looks like carpet was replaced that could be a red flag,” said Sue McConnell, Better Business Bureau Serving Greater Cleveland

The BBB encourages you to make sure the windows and windshield wipers work. They also suggest looking for fog around the mirrors and rust in the spare tire well and along the seat tracks.
