Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, made headlines back in January when multiple outlets reported she had engaged in a sexual affair with Donald Trump roughly 10 years before he became president (and after his marriage to wife Melania). Michael Cohen, the president's personal lawyer, later admitted to paying Daniels $130,000 10 days before the 2016 election, with reports calling it part of an agreement to prevent Daniels from speaking about the encounter.

On Tuesday, the 39-year-old Daniels filed a lawsuit against Mr. Trump in Los Angeles county, claiming the nondisclosure agreement is invalid because the president never signed it. It's the first time since news of the allegations broke that she has claimed the authenticity of the relationship.

Representatives with Diamond Gentleman's Club claim they booked Daniels three weeks ago and were "surprised" by the lawsuit. They are hoping it will have no effect on her scheduled appearance in Cleveland.
