Simulator helps police trainees prep for real-life scenarios

The system simulates hundreds of various scenarios trainees could experience in the field.

PARMA -- Technology is helping police trainees gain experience for real-world situations at Cuyahoga Community College's Western Campus.

The college demonstrated its VirTra V-300 Simulator Tuesday. The system simulates hundreds of various scenarios conveying body language and non-verbal cues that require judgment. The system's screens create a 300-degree view with peripheral vision and weapons that mimic those used in the field.
