Snowmaking has started at Boston Mills Brandywine, Alpine Valley

Snowmaking began Wednesday night as temperatures dipped.

If you're itching to hit the slopes, you shouldn't have to wait much longer.

Boston Mills Brandywine and Alpine Valley ski resorts have announced that snowmaking has started. Snowmaking began Wednesday night as temperatures dipped.

General Manager Josh Boyd said in a news release that the resorts could open as early as Saturday.

Once a snow base has been established, the resorts are expected to announce an official opening date.
