Alexa Lee is a Telly Award winning and Emmy nominated on air talent for WKYC. She enjoys co-hosting Live on Lakeside with her friend and mentor, Hollie Strano. You can also find her anchoring the 11 AM news Monday through Thursday on Channel 3. Alexa Lee created and produces her own show called Home Grown where she spends a day in the life with some of northeast Ohio’s locally made businesses. She loves discovering all the new and exciting places in Cleveland and sharing the stories of the people who live here.

Alexa Lee was born and raised in the Cleveland area. She is a proud alum of Cleveland State University where she recently received “Fascinating Alumni Award”. She played 4 years of division one soccer at CSU and two seasons at the semi professional level before deciding to make a career change and head to the Big Apple.

After enduring the typical NYC struggle that most newcomers face, Alexa signed with Wilhelmina Models NYC/LA.  Alexa modeled for some of the top clothing companies in the world; NIKE, LEVIS, Under Armour, Victoria Secret and more. Hard work and a persistent attitude led Alexa to NY Fashion week, off broadway productions, film and TV commercials. After 6 years in NYC, Alexa was excited to take everything she learned and come back to the city that never left her heart, Cleveland.

Alexa’s daughter is her greatest motivation and light of her life. She loves making new experiences and memories with her daughter whether it’s at Cedar Point or in the ever-changing toy room. Alexa is passionate about collaborating and creating. She is currently writing a children’s book and will be voicing a character in an animated children’s movie, 2 Pennies. You can also catch Alexa on stage in 2020 performing in Playhouse Square’s Flannagan’s Wake. Alexa Lee is grateful to be back in Cleveland where WKYC has truly become a second family.
