Andrew (who friends call Drew) Horansky is an Emmy Award-winning journalist who joined 3News in April 2015.

Before coming home, he was a general assignment reporter and fill-in anchor at KHOU, 3News' sister station in Houston, and held a similar position at KVUE in Austin.

Prior to Texas, Andrew worked as a Chicago-based correspondent for the country's first high-definition news network, HD News. He reported from the war in Iraq, traveled to New Orleans for Hurricane Katrina, to London for the subway bombings and to Haiti for deadly mudslides.

His career began in Iowa, where he shot and edited his stories, and met everyone from struggling family farmers to politicians hoping to win the caucus. From there, he worked briefly in Northern Michigan before joining the team at New England Cable News in Boston. Along the way he completed fellowships abroad through RIAS, the International Center for Journalists and Fulbright.

He is a 1994 graduate of St. Ignatius High School and has a degree in international relations from Georgetown University. He is proficient in German and knowledgeable in Spanish.

Andrew currently lives in Bay Village with his wife, a pediatrician. The couple has a daughter and son.
