CLEVELAND — Bri Buckley joined the 3News team as a reporter in September 2022.
She grew up as an Air Force brat moving all around the country, but Cleveland has always been the one place she could call home with deep family ties to the region. Bri is thrilled to be back in the same city as her dad, sister, extended family and friends and to bring her passion for storytelling and community advocacy to 3News.
She comes to Northeast Ohio from just down the road in Columbus where she spent the last year as a general assignment reporter at ABC 6/FOX 28. During her time there, Bri covered countless stories including the deadly violence plaguing Central Ohio, highlighted the constant community efforts to combat teen violence and dove into community advocacy stories to hold city and state leaders accountable.
She’s certainly no stranger to the Buckeye State. Before Columbus, Bri reported in Toledo at NBC 24 where she covered major events such as presidential campaign rallies, the largest General Motors strike since 1973, and flew out to a U.S. Navy aircraft carrier while it was out to sea for a special hometown heroes series.
Prior to that, Bri started her broadcast career as the evening anchor at WHIZ in Zanesville.
Bri graduated from The Ohio State University (O-H!) and is thrilled to bring her extensive knowledge and understanding of Ohio to her favorite corner of the state.
When she’s not chasing the stories that matter most, you can find her exploring the Cleveland Metroparks with her husband and her chocolate lab, Bear (who is more like her son), or trying one of the many great restaurants, breweries or coffee shops the city has to offer!
