Chris Tye first made Cleveland home while attending John Carroll University. After graduation he worked at TV stations in Traverse City and Grand Rapids, Michigan before returning to Northeast Ohio.

Since joining WKYC in 2004, he's been awarded with multiple Emmy Awards and Edward R. Murrow Awards for his anchoring and reporting.

At Channel 3 he is called on to anchor and report the news, but often is asked to provide analysis and commentary on the days events on Donovan Live -- the nightly 7 p.m. newscast that take a more casual look at the day's news.

Chris' work from Cleveland has been seen on NBC's TODAY and NBC Nightly News. He has covered Olympics and presidential conventions. He also regularly takes the necktie off and hosts radio shows at WTAM, WMMS and WGAR.

Chris is an avid golfer, tennis player and traveler.

Chris got married in September, 2018 and lives in the city of Cleveland.
