Dawn Kendrick joined WKYC as a reporter in January of 2015.
She originally came to Cleveland in 2001 and reported for the local CBS affiliate for 13 years before joining the WKYC team.
Before moving to Cleveland, Dawn reported and anchored for KDNL in St. Louis where she grew up.
Last stop before St. Louis was three years anchoring the weekday 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. news for KMIZ in Columbia, Missouri.
Dawn's roots run deep in the "Show Me State."
Dawn grew up in St. Louis, and is a proud high school graduate of Incarnate Word Academy.
She went on to graduate with a degree in broadcast journalism from the University of Missouri.
Her dad, Larry, is also a proud MU Tiger alum who was thrilled she had grown up to finally get PAID to talk.
Dawn's first job right out of Mizzou was reporting and producing at the CBS affiliate, WLFI, in Lafayette, Indiana, where she went on to be the first anchor of "Lafayette Live at 5."
In 2016, Dawn Kendrick and Channel 3 News were the proud recipients of the Ohio State Pharmacists Association’s Broadcast Media Award for "Kevin's Story."
The series on Kevin Houdeshell’s family’s fight for access to life-saving drugs led Ohio lawmakers to change the law that allows pharmacists to extend emergency supplies of life-saving drugs.
