I love the city pride of Clevelanders and being part of the growth of the city is definitely exciting! I’ve been told I came at the right time and I’m convinced!
I was born in New York City, but I’ve traveled all over the world with my military family. My dad was in the Army for 22 years, so I got the chance to see different parts of this country and two others. I wouldn’t trade those experiences for anything!
I hail from the Valdosta State University Blazers in Valdosta, Georgia, but I didn’t stay there long after getting my journalism degree. I moved to Abilene, Texas to work for KTXS Television, getting my start behind the scenes as a production assistant. For about six months, I learned the ins and outs of the industry before I started reporting. I started on weekends, but quickly discovered my love for the criminal justice system. I finished out my two years as the crime and courts reporter before moving on.
Cedar Rapids, Iowa was my next move and one of the most interesting places to live. I worked for KGAN/KFXA for two years as the crime reporter. While there, I had the chance to cover stories that broke internationally, I took home a couple of regional awards and learned the true meaning of "Iowa Nice."
When 3News called, I jumped at the chance to stay in the Midwest. I don’t mind the winters and I love the people, so it’s an honor to call Cleveland home.
My family has been a great support system, I have a younger sister who's a veterinarian and lives in Las Vegas, while my parents have settled down in Georgia. I also own a big, white Great Pyrenees named Blanco and Mars, a Newfoundland Poodle -- you won’t have to look far to find pictures of them!
When I’m not at work, I’m usually out running, at church or traveling.
