African Safari Wildlife Park in Port Clinton opens 55th season on Saturday

PORT CLINTON, Ohio — One of Northern Ohio's most beloved attractions is set to open for 2023.

African Safari Wildlife Park in Port Clinton will open up its gates for its 55th season on Saturday. To celebrate, the park is offering discounted general admission tickets that can be used anytime this season.

The $16.95 admission ticket, a savings of up to $13 per person, must be purchased online by clicking here from now through March 28. The sale is not available at the gate. 

African Safari Wildlife Park's Drive-Thru Safari, featuring zebras, bison, llamas, alpacas, elk, exotic cattle, emus and more, will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The last car will be admitted at 4 p.m. Park officials say their warm-weather animals, such as giraffe and antelope, will generally not be visible unless the outdoor temperature is above 60 degrees. 

The Walk-Thru Safari, which offers gibbons, lemurs, kangaroos, warthogs, parrots, camel rides, educational animal shows and animal-feeding experiences, will open in mid-May.
